Negative plate, also known as electrosurgical negative plate, neutral negative plate, neutral electrode, dispersive electrode, return electrode, etc., is one of the supporting consumables for high-frequency equipment (high-frequency electrosurgical knife, gynecological LEEP knife). There are also many types of them, from the early metal electrode plates to capacitive negative plates, to the most commonly used hydrophilic conductive adhesives and flexible pre-glued negative plates. It is one of the indispensable and most commonly used consumables in electrosurgery.
Negative plates are divided into unipolar negative plates and bipolar negative plates, children's negative plates and adult negative plates, negative plates with wires and negative plates without wires, etc. The non-wired negative plate needs to be equipped with a negative plate connection cable to connect to the host. The common negative plate connection is the negative plate connection of the REM plug, and the negative plate connection of the HIFI plug.
Checking the negative plate includes three aspects:
1. Contact area, we all know that the smaller the contact area, the greater the current density, the higher the heat generated, and the higher the risk of burns, so it is necessary to ensure that the negative plate is fully attached
2. Check the application direction of the negative plates. Since the current density received by the two negative plates is different, the local temperature will rise, so the correct application method is to align the center line with the surgical area, so as to ensure that the two negative plates receive current balance!
3. Check whether the disposable negative plate is reused. Repeated use of the disposable negative plate cannot effectively control the risk and is absolutely prohibited.
